Technique: ‘Smoke Art’

So I decided to start this project off with a bang by really challenging myself and doing something I’ve never done before!  I basically set up a black background, tripod, and an incense burner. I had a flashlight (actually the flashlight app on my iPhone) on one side of the incense and a hand flash on the other. I made the room totally black and had my girlfriend, Keilani, help me time the flash. After lots of trial and error we started to get good results. I also set up a black light which gave the smoke a little blue tint! Super great project, I got excellent shots. I will definitely be trying this again!
