Technique: Still Life

Sorry for posting a few hours late, it’s been a crazy weekend so I just got around to doing a shoot a couple hours ago. I decided to do a little still life, with a twist. I set up in my bathroom, since poor, tired Keilani was already asleep. I tied a piece of thread to a knife and suspended it above the scene, then I fetched a couple tomatoes and used my iPhone flashlight app for lighting. I photoshopped out the string and voila! Overall, I like it. The knife is super creepy, but I feel like the photo itself could have been better executed. Suspended objects in low light turned out to be a challenge, they always rotate to a weird angle right as you are taking the picture. Sorry again for the late post, I’ll do better next week! -E
