I’m late again! I honestly just spaced it last night, it being Easter and all… I met a more seasoned photographer at the STRUT fashion show a few weeks ago. He liked my energy so he has taken me under his wing and allowed me to be his assistant and learn as I go. He has already given me so much great information I can hardly retain it. As part of my work for him I have been helping him shoot photography at a night club here in Richmond every week. Night club photography is all about making the sloppy drunk people look like celebrities. How is that possible? With our friend the off-camera flash, all you need is a trigger. Carlos taught me how to the hold the flash like a spotlight on faces and how to angle it correctly. Night club photography is fun if you get in and interact with the folks, but it’s still a long night. Though, I do feel like a badass because despite the fact that I’m underage I get into the club without them checking my ID. I also get a VIP pass and whatever free drinks I want. :P Hollaaaaa.
